Raptor - in progress
New Resting Point for Capel Fleet Raptor Viewing point reflects the spirit of flight. Artist Alun Helsop has been busy making a Resting Point at the RSPB Capel Fleet Raptor Viewing Point along The Isle of Harty Trail cycle route, Leysdown. The Raptor site was chosen by Alun as a dynamic space to place the seating guaranteeing views of the Marsh Harrier and as a place to sit and reflect the landscape. The resting area will feature a two-element structure, providing comfortable, hollow saddle carved and welcome seating in the inspired form of bird wing feathers. It also provides a sculptural centre piece installation that is visible from many directions. More to follow......

Between 7 March - 23 May 2012 The Forest Within does just that; Carol brings photographs of Cutler's Wood, near Chilham to an indoor space while Alun creates an installation in the gallery and sites an imposing sculpture outside to challenge those satellite dishes.

Occupy London
Photographer Ed Thompson is featured in the Telegraph website today with his Occupy London multi-media piece.
Ed sought out the protestors after dark, once the tourists and the media had departed, to document the organisation and compassion at ground level. The audio is the spoken word poetry of a young occupier Ed recorded in his tent.
