Billy Childish Shopping Bag
Working with the Aquarium Gallery (now L13), FrancisKnight commissioned Billy Childish to design an image for a reusable 100% cotton shopping bag.
These limited edition bags are available from FrancisKnight at £5.00 each excluding postage & packaging. Two designs featuring Billy’s signature motifs include the skull & cross bones or gallows. All bags have a lyric on the reverse from the album Musicians of the British Empire.
L13 is a contemporary commercial London based art gallery. It works with artist, musicians and writers, and specialised in more unorthodox punk-based art work, including Jamie Reid, Jimmy Cauty, Billy Childish and Sexton Ming.

The Kent Cultural Baton
Artist Nicole Mollett and the Kent Cultural Baton head into Leysdown-on-Sea for the Leysdown Carnival weekend. Join her on the spinney to make a rose and write a love letter to Leysdown. Nicole will be in residence on Saturday 31st July between 10am and 5pm while artist Cathy Bird will be running watercolour workshops on Sunday 1st August 11am to 4pm.

The Tate Movie Project with Aardman Animation
Tate is collaborating with Aardman, the animation company behind Wallace and Gromit, in partnership with creative agency Fallon, who will be producing the Tate Movie. The Tate Movie will be the first of its kind – an animation film made by and for children across the UK.
The Tate Movie Truck will tour the UK throughout the summer (July 2010 – October 2010). The truck will be equipped with facilities to run taster workshops as well as more in depth and will have a fully fitted sound studio on board. The Tate Movie Truck will be at Leysdown this summer, times are subject to confirmation.
The Tate Movie will be a 20-25 minute film made by children for children. The children will provide all the assets for the film including: story ideas, characters, environments, sets, props, dialogue, jokes, sound effects, and music. The ideas and assets will be pulled together by a team of professional filmmakers.
